Lena Gercke is Germany's Next Topmodel of 2006. Germany's Next Topmodel is based on Tyra Banks' concept of model casting and its show America's Next Topmodel. It was established 2003 and then due its extreme popularity copied world-wide. Tyra Banks functions as jury member and moderator of the show. Heidi Klum acted as the German counterpart of Tyra Banks and selected one girl out of many to become Germany's Next Topmodel! In addition Heidi Klum acts as coach and mentor for the girls trying to prepare them for the everyday life of a top model.

The (currently) 18-year old Lena Gercke (also known as Lena G) is from Oldenburg, Germany and celebrates her birthday on February 29th. She became famous to the media due to winning the popular model casting-show "Germany's Next Topmodel". She trumps with her naterual beauty, her all-day happy attitude and her sweet smile. With the measurements of 90-66-89, a weight of 110 pounds and a height of 5,83 feet she looks similar to the show's host Heidi Klum. Lena Gercke works for IMG Models, Microsoft (Live!) and is occasionally featured in the Cosmopolitan. She currently still visits school and plans to finish her a-levels this year (2007). |
